The Divine Number and Name

February 11, 2010

There are 7 Continents and 7 Oceans on the globe. There are 7 Colours in the rainbow and 7 Notes on the musical scale. There is a pattern of 7 Stars which are guiding stars (The Big Dipper) and there are 7 Objects in the solar system that are visible to the naked eye. There are 7 Metals of antiquity upon which civilisation is based, and 7 Levels in the periodic table of elements.

There are many more 7’s in the universe and the world around us if we look hard enough.

Interestingly when we look at the Bible we see that the number 7 is God’s divine number. It signifies perfection and completeness in God’s eyes.

The first book of the Old Testament Genesis has 7 x letters. The first book of the New Testament Matthew also has 7 letters. In the original Hebrew language, Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” it is 7 Hebrew words. The word created has 7 letters. God is known as the Creator which is 7 letters.

Also in Genesis God said: Let us make man in our image which is 7 words, and remember mankind 7 letters was made perfect 7 letters and Adam & Eve together AdamEve is 7 letters!!

Many people neither profess belief in God nor have any interest in religion. Some who doubt or deny that God exists do so primarily because the religions that they are familiar with have failed to meet their spiritual need. Religion has been defined as “devotion to some principle; strict fidelity or faithfulness; conscientiousness; pious affection or attachment.” By this definition, nearly everyone displays some form of religious devotion in his life. That even includes atheists.

During the thousands of years of human history, man’s attempts to satisfy his spiritual need have led him down many pathways. The result is the enormous diversity of religious views found worldwide. For example, though nearly all religions promote a belief in a higher power, they have different concepts of who or what that is. Most faiths also stress the importance of salvation or liberation. But their teachings differ as to what salvation is and how it is attained. Out of the vast array of beliefs, how can we identify true teachings that please God?

Worship 7 letters Jehovah 7 letters

Jesus said in prayer to God: “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world.” John 17:6
He declared: “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” Matthew 4:10

Currently there are over 7 million people soon to be in number 7,777,777 (7×7) who are a witness (7 letters) about God’s name Jehovah (7 letters) who obey Jesus and Preach the Good News of the Kingdom (7 words) and the word Kingdom is 7 letters!!

“YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”….YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God. Isaiah 43:10-12

NOTE: Jesus is referred to as “The Word” in the Bible – “The Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs [not to God but] to an only-begotten son from a father.” So “the Word,” who became flesh, lived on the earth as the man Jesus and was seen by people. Therefore, he could not have been Almighty God because – “No man has seen God at any time.”—John 1:14, 18.
Jesus never said that he was God The Son he said that he was GOD’S SON, The Son of God.

Not even so much as one “proof text” says that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are one in some mysterious Godhead. Not one scripture anywhere in the Bible says that all three are the same in substance, power, and eternity. The Bible is consistent in revealing Almighty God, Jehovah, as alone Supreme, Jesus as his created Son, and the holy spirit as God’s active force.
